Orion Auto Login

Hello :-)

I am attempting to setup Automatic login for my users.

Either I've not set something up, or i'm miss-understanding.

I open a fresh browser (Edge and IE) and every time a secondary window opens prompting me for user name and password.

I'm on windows 10 and the secondary window is a User Security Window.

I've attempted checking remember my credentials, but still get the prompt. To make thinks worse, with IE, the prompt is opened behind my active IE window, so i have to find it first.

Do you mean you want to authenticate via AD, as opposed to standalone?

You would need to make sure that:

a) when you run the Configuration Wizard, you choose the option to "Yes - Enable automatic login using Windows Authentication"

and

b) Make sure your Orion accounts are configured as "Windows", as opposed to "Orion".

It was some settings in IE that wasn't allowing the current username and password to be sent :-(

Sounds like you were looking for user auth settings in IE.

Try using Chrome, I have just performed an test upgrade to Orion 2017.3

The test/dev servers we used were all fresh builds without Chrome, and I really struggled with the IE user authentication.
