Stopping "NVRAM config last updated..." alerts

We have RTCD enabled in our environment of ~180 Cisco devices. Alerts are going to my boss and I on changes. However, we're getting these silly alerts about "NVRAM config last updated..." I would really like to keep alerts to actual changes and forget the lines about NVRAM config changes. It's definitely alarming to have a bunch of these fly into your phone at night just to find out it's a false alarm. We get enough e-mails as it is... :-) Here is a screenie of the unwanted alert it is sending:

You can tell NCM to ignore that line when it compares configuration files.

Open the NCM server console. Go to File--> Settings, then click on Configs-->Comparison Criteria.

Scroll down in the list and you should find an option named "Cisco '!Last Updated' line (Part 2) with a pattern that includes NVRAM in it. Check the box to allow NCM to ignore lines in a config file that contain that pattern.

That should work.

me too! That doesn't actually stop it. I'm thinking it's a bug of some sort.......

I have my suspicions that RegEx isn't working correctly. I've noticed a lot of the lines that have
^[ \t\r\n\v\f]*
at the start seem to ignore that RegEx. I removed the
[ \t\r\n\v\f]*
from the comparrison criteria (i.e. it's now
^Something
and it seems to work.

Give it a try and if removing the space-checking is causing the error we need to raise this as a bug!
