Trap Alert Variable Options - Insert Custom Property value?

I hope this will be addressed in v10 but does anyone know of a way to include a Node custom property value into a Trap Alert action...specifically logging to a file.

I am trying to include information about a node into the log entry but I know the Trap Alert engine is not nearly as complete as the Advanced Alert engine in terms of variable use and functionality.

Let me know if anyhow has a way to do this..and if not...if SW can let us know if this is on the roadmap or if it is already in v10.

Thanks for the link. I had actually looked there, but I didn't find the new fields (vbdata1) because they aren't listed on 334, but instead are found on 232.

Just FYI.

Sadly, I am not finding any other super-secret fields. I was hoping for ${SQL to work in traps, but no such luck.

I think this is what ur looking for in version 10:

Syslog and Traps –
- Ability to reference Trap variable binding names and value pairs as variables in alert messages (e.g. ${vbName1}, ${vbData1})
- Ability to configure Trap alerts based on pattern matching on Trap Details
- Ability to reference Orion node variables in Syslog and Trap alerts
- Respect Orion NPM unmanaged node status in Syslog and Trap alerts
- Ability to change the status of an interface in Orion NPM based on Trap message
- Add option when forwarding a Syslog message to retain the original source IP address
- Add option to consume original address when passed in a Syslog message.
- Add option when forwarding a Syslog message to retain (and spoof) the original source IP address.
