hot standby?

we run npm 9.5 and apm 3.5. we just recently purchased and installed hot standby for npm. seemed to work great except i was'nt thinking until i looked at failover i had overlooked apm and its need for redundancy as well.

are there any options on that? preferably the lowcost type....

Not today, but that scenario is something we're looking at seriously.

Hi,

The Hot-Standby engine only covers Orion NPM but not the modules.

I am not aware of any work around for this. There is currently no Hot-Standby for any of the modules.

I suggest you post in the feature request forum to show your interest in a such product.

I don't suppose a Hot Standby module for the APM is currently in the works?

it really should be. it leaves us completely blind to some really important monitoring

It doesn't, but we have a team working on a replacement failover solution that will eventually cover all of the modules. It's probably next year, but it's not vaporware. There are people working on it asking me questions about it every few days. It's part of a larger effort, but it's a priority for us.
