"Automatically execute this script when violation is found" Compliance Check dont work

Hi,

how can I use the feature to automatically execute some lines for a compliance violation in NCM 7.4 ?

For example I have a missconfigured vlan id in my interface. The check will alert me. That works for me. Then I would like to use the remediationscript for auto deploy my fix.

The remediation is like this:

conf t

int gi1/0/11

switchport access vlan 123

end

If I start this manually it works. But the auto execute mode wont work. Do I have to acitvate some settings or should it work like this way?

We did a test with a single rule which we put into a single set in "Manage Policies". There it works to. But not with the existing rules we had before we upgrade from 7.3.2 to 7.4.

If you have the NCM approval system enabled can you check that the "bypass approval system for automatic remediation of policy violations" is checked under "Settings-> NCM Settings-> Security"

Have you created a job to "generate a policy report" ?

Hi Tony,

yes we created a job for every siingle report. We have 9 active reports and 9 jobs for each report. The jobs start with a gap of 30 minutes to the next. The jobs run every day.

thanks a lot, I think the last one was the solution.

We didnt have enabled the Point "Bypass approval system for automatic remediation of policy violations"

I enabled it right now and will have a look at the remediations in the next days. After this I will come back to you to inform you.
