Connecting SNMPv3 on an HP Procurve

I am new to solarwinds and I am just trying to get through the initial setup so forgive me if this question is way to simple:

I configured SNMPv3 on an HP 5412zl similar to the steps shown here: http://giefroot.com/?p=16

My problem is when I try to update the properties of the node in Orion with the SNMPv3 credentials I created it keeps failing the test. 

Can anybody tell me if i missed something or what I'm doing wrong?  Is there more configuration that has to be done on the switch side?

To check if you correctly set snmpv3 credentials on your HP you can use snmpwalk http://www.net-snmp.org/
