Orion integration options

We have our network asset data in Orion, and need to sync it up with another enterprise app called Maximo.  Maximo is capable of integrations based on flat files, database tables, JMS messaging, and Web Service Calls.  Can anyone here give me some pointers on how to automate the data sync between Orion and Maximo that is scheduled and self-sustaining?  I was told that one option is to schedule a data dump and email the output csv file.  This is acceptable, but I was hoping for some greater level of automation.

Just set Maximo up with a login directly to the Orion database.  The only hard part is usually that you will need to find the data that you are looking for inside the orion database and give your tool all the queries to get that data, if you or someone on this project is strong in SQL then it's easy.  Otherwise you are about to learn some SQL.

I'd probably just start by pulling data over from the Nodes table and getting yourself familiar with how to set it up in your tool to ingest that data.  Most tools like that you basically just tell it to match the nodes on something like the IP or hostname and then have it fill in all the available fields, but ultimately you just need to spend some time in that tool playing with it and looking around the Orion database for whatever data it is that you are trying to sync up on.
