Advanced Alert on Most Expensive Query

Hi,

How can I create a advanced alert on Most Expensive query AppInsight for SQL. I want that in such a way that whenver CPUTime > 720000ms an alert has to trigger with the details to the DBA to work on it.

Have you used the "Expensive Queries Info" property as shown below in the Advanced Alert Manager?

I could not find "Expensive Query Info" on the advanced alert. I am using SAM 6.0.

I also do not have "AppInsight for SQL: Expensive Queries" as an available option in the drop down list. I'm running SAM 6.0, not SAM 6.0.1 or higher.

Would I be correct in saying that we need to upgrade to 6.0.1 or higher to get this option? I've been holding off upgrading because the SAM 6.1 release is on the horizon.

Correct. You need SAM 6.0.2 or greater for this option to be available. If you haven't already, I would recommend signing up for the SAM 6.1 Release Candidate and upgrading to that directly.
