NPMv9.5 and it's syslog service: "SolarWinds Syslog Service"
NCMv5.5 and it's syslog service: "SolarWinds Orion NCM Syslog Service"
All running on a single Win2008 32b host; external DB.
I need to change the listening port and define the IP or interface for NCM'S syslog service to a random unused port so it can collect forwarded syslogs from NPM'S syslogger currently using the default port:514. I found a post showing how to mod the "Syslogservice.exe.config" to change NPM'S syslog listening port and IP/IF but nothing for NCM.
Knowing what syslog message keywords trigger NCM'S Real-Time Change Detection to download a new config would help cut down on syslogs needed to forward.
