How to monitor log file error message for linux server in SAM ?

Hi Team,

we are going to creating log file error message monitoring for Linux server in solarwinds. can you please let me know the which component we can used for this log file error message.

we have any default templates available ? or if you have templates available please share to me.

HOW TO MONITOR THE BELOW LOG FILE ERROR MESSAGES IN SAM ?

path: /opt/atom/compute/logs

1>java.lang.Exception: TaskManager is shutting down.

2> java.lang.Exception: TaskManager is shutting down.

3> java.lang.Exception: The JobManager is shutting down

Take a look at the SAM content exchange (Server & Application Monitor ) and search for the word "parser" and you'll find a few options that will at least get you started with what you need.

thanks for providing template. i have one doubt here in this below script we have given only for file name and log file path name both are enough

am i correct ? because i am not much expert in Perl script so i am asking you. could you please suggest on it. if anything need to add into script after that we will test it.

Hi,

we checked template and complied we got this below error for that server.

please let me know. where is it changed.

Testing on node '10.1.10.242' failed with 'Unknown' status ('Unknown' might be different if script exits with a different exit code).
