I've noticed today that the SWOrionNCMInformationService.exe is using 736Meg of memory, this seems extremely high.
Is anyone else seeing this high memory utilisation?
What does this service do show the utilisation be so high?
Thanks
This service serves NCM information to both the integration module within NPM and the NCM standalone website. I agree that does seem high. How many people do you have working with NPM and NCM?
Day to day there are probably 1 possibly 2 people using NCM and possibly 5 using NPM.
I'm seeing this also. I have a ticket open for it already. Seems to tie in with trying to access certain inventory information on the NCM website (e.g. Cisco Card Data), where the website eventually times out and displays an error message, then the w3wp.exe and SWOrionNCMInformationService.exe processes start ramping up the memory utilisation. Only fix is to kill the processes and restart NCM.
We also only have 1 maybe 2 users accessing the website at any time.
Thanks for helping to narrow it down to Inventory process. We are having our QA team work on reproducing this issue and hope to figure out what is causing the issue.
Another thing that may help us reproduce the issue is to know how many devices are being managed through this instance of NCM?
Hey Chris, was there ever a fix found for this? I'm having exactly the same problem with w3wp.exe running amok.
Thanks!

If you haven't already, can you try upgrading to 5.1?
