SQL Server portion of APM Install.

During the SQL Database Configuration portion of the install of APM we recieved a warning that the SQL CLR needs to be enabled inorder to continue. It says "Press OK to restart the SQL Server".

1.) Is this going to restart just that SQL Server Instance, all instances, or a reboot of the whole box? I would assume just the one SQL Server Instance the DB resides on.

2.) Can we avoid this restart by enabling CLR on the SQL server itself ahead of time? Would this be the perfered method?

I am not sure how restarting of SQL server is done. I would assume that that it's only going to restart that particular instance of SQL Server, but I can't tell for sure.

However it is possible to go with option 2 and enable CLR on the SQL server in advance. So that should be definitely safe way how to do it.
