SSL Cert Dashboard

We are using the Cert Expiration Monitor app template for alerting on these items, but my manager is interested in seeing the details of each certificate in a dashboard format (expiration date, issuer, owner, etc). Has anyone created something like this? I am able to show whether a particular cert is valid or not, but have not found a way to access the details.

Easiest method is to use the Custom table resource

1. Choose Component as the data source object type

2. Configure this to filter to the name of the Application Template name or Component name, whichever works best for you

3. Add the Node name, Component Status and the Component Message values to the table

The built in Solarwinds Cert component doesn't pull back all those details, it just does the name and date of expiration and response time to get the cert. You'd probably need to cook something up as a custom script to gather those extra details.

This worked great. I just created a report with the custom table, and manager is happy.

Can you share which application template are you using to monitor certificate?

I am looking for a method to identify issuer, Subject name etc but with out of the box template is no good.
