NCM Integration Error

Hello,

We recently installed NCM on our Orion server along with the integration software to allow us to bolt it into NPM.

The tab has appeared, however all I can see is the Config Summary screen with a bunch of empty sections. It appears that the credentials are incorrect.

I need to enter something suitable but I'm not really sure what to add. Every time I do, I seem to get this error message:

"The Orion server cannot access the SolarWinds Information Service. The exact error was 'Value cannot be null. Parameter name: address must not be null or empty' "

All of the SolarWinds services are running as normal on this box, SQL is running fine - any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Sounds like you'll need to enter the NCM credentials here. The default Administrator name is "Administrator"...not "Admin" as in NPM.

it looks like you installed NCM on the same box as NPM, right?

in my experience, you will have some issues with integration with both of them on the same box. Solarwinds acutally told me that it was NOT recommended to have these 2 products on the same box.

My suggestion would first to relocate one or the other to a new server, and try re-doing the integration.

go to the NPM main settings page and edit the NCM settings.

Make sure you have the correct hostname or ip address to your NCM server.

If that is correct, make sure the Information services is started as well as NCM Caching and Polling service.

If that is all good, you may have an incorrect version of Information services installed. Please open a ticket online and refer to this link so we can take a closer look at your issue.
