APM and template MS Exchange 2003 - question on colors and defined threshold values

What do these colors indicate in these graphs? This one is for Disk Reads which is one of those components making up the template.

I assume BLUE is Warning and Light-Green is Critical, but I wanted to ask to be sure.

and as for the Disk Reads per Sec and Disk Writes per Sec these are both pre-defined in the template as Warning 4,042,880 and Critical is 5,242,880.

Where did these values come from and has anyone seen these as being much too low? Thanks.

after a closer look at the colors (after a longgg dayyy) - i figure BLUE is Min at Poll time and Light-Green is Max at that same Poll Time...

How about the thresholds?

Hello lchance,
blue line is average value in specified point of time. Green bar is min/max boundary for that point of time. Let's say you have poll every minute but chart set to 5 minute interval. Than you have polls 1,2,3,4,5 in those 5 minutes. Blue line will go through 3 and green bar will be from 1 to 5.

Thresholds for MS Exchange are mostly set according to Microsoft recommendations. There is quite complex documentation to Exchange which contains some values for monitoring.

However disk reads/writes depend on usage of Exchange so they may be low for you if you have heavy load on Exchange.
