If so, what are your impressions? Looks like some cool new stuff here.
It's been working ok for me so far: some tips can be found:
basically:
The steps I did before upgrade were as follows:
truncated events, traps, and syslog then compacted the database
backed up the web configuration
backed up OrionNetPerfMon
and the upgrade went smooth for me.
We are running it on two deployments and everything has been very smooth. Can't say much about the ESX stuff since we don't currently monitor that stuff. Some nice new features and improvements.
Running just fine. Quite an improvement over 7.8.5
I didn't upgrade from 7.8.5, I just started over. Way too much work and magic to make that upgrade happen. I did upgrade from 9.5 to 10 and it went perfectly. No issues at all. I'm loving all the customizations that can be done now that weren't around in 7.8.
It when quite smoothly for me as well, just prepare for > 3hrs for the upgrading! My DBs is about 50GB.
Wow, my DB is over 50GB and it took 10 minutes per poller to upgrade. Wonder what the difference is.
Been running for about one week now in prod, looks/feels great. (Had some issues with RC1, but not seen them on RC2)
DB was around 97Gig before upgrade.. disks got full at 115Gig during upgrade, probably my issue for problems with RC1.
So as the other guys mention, compact your large DB before upgrade

Regarding the install, I didn't have any issues at all.
Regarding my most anticipated feature, I don't understand why connectnow can't use existing database info? What's the point of having to use the discovery feature when you have been running the product for years?
Why couldn't connectnow have been a part of NCM as that product already has all inventory data captured in its database?
All in all, I see no true benefit to the upgrade.
For the most part everything's been ok for us too.
I currently have a support case opened however because my DBAs are seeing our database transaction log between 40-70GB daily. They have to go in and clean it out. We didn't have this problem before the v10 upgrade.

Make sure the database recovery mode is configured as simple... See this post:
Thanks for the suggestion ecklerwr1. We have already checked and verified we are running in simple.
Had some minor issues with maps, Network Atlas, and SQL with RC1 and RC2 but since upgrading to RC3 everything seems to be working fine.
Installation was flawless, especially with RC3.
