Adding nodes in bulk into NCM 7 from NPM

Hi,

We are currently monitoring approximately 1600 nodes in NPM, 1000 of which need to be added into NCM. What would be the easiest way to add these in bulk?

If I use "Manage NCM Nodes" I can see which nodes are unlicensed but there are 42 pages of 25 nodes which can only be added page by page.

Can I add all of the nodes into a rediscovery even though they are already in the system? I tested it on a single IP address (in discovery) and it said it was skipping the node as it already exists. I didn't see a checkbox to add to NCM, and the "Enable Import from Discovery" checkbox is selected in the Manage NCM nodes.

What am I missing here?

From the online guide (http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#context=SolarWinds&file=OrionNCMNodeMapping.htm) it states that -

"Click Enable Import from Discovery to allow the Network Discovery Engine to import newly discovered nodes into NCM."

I tested by removing the Node in NCM, then in NPM totally.

And try to discover only that Node, and the Node is added to NPM.

I do not know of any straightforward way then to go through the adding through the pages.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the import will work if I remove the node from NPM completely. Removing them is not likely due to the amount of customisation/tweaking that has been performed on each node (selecting specific interfaces, etc), plus we would lose the statistics.

I've been putting it off until a response here but looks like I'll just push through and do it page by page.
