How to alert through Orion on an Event in Windows Server 2012

Could someone point me in the direction to allow me to report from Orion when a specific event ID occurs on server 2012, and this trigger Orion to send me an alert? I know this can be done through MS itself and with a powershell send-mail, but I would like Orion to handle this.

jasonmluna -  An existing SAM Application Monitor Template named "Errors in Application Event Log" can get you started with using the Windows Event Log monitoring component.  You can copy the template and rename it, then edit it.  The Windows Event Log monitoring component in the template can be configured to watch a specific Windows Event log (not just Application) and has several options for targeting broadly (e.g. all Critical Errors events) or specifically (just Event ID 100 Events) the messages you want to alert on.  Once your Application Monitor is properly detecting the Events you want, you can Configure an Alert to fire when the Monitor is Down (detected event).
