A common setup that we use on our SQL Servers are mount points. When DPA is monitoring one of these servers, Storage I/O sees this as a single drive. Is there a way to get mount points working, or does this need to be filed as a bug/enhancement somehow? Consider the following setup. D: \SQLDataInstance1 (mount point) D: \SQLDataInstance2 (mount point) D: \DatabaseLogsInstance2 (mount point) D: \DatabaseLogsInstance2 (mount point) DPA classifies all of these drives under the same drive, making the "Top Drives" report useless.

You can create your own drive names for each mount point. Advanced Options --> I/O Configuration I/O Drive Mappings --> Choose Insatnce. Then click on Add Drive Name the Drive Enter 'D: \SQLDataInstance1' for Drive Path Now just the files on that drive will show up in Top Drives under the Drive Name Repeat for any other mount points

Advanced Options --> I/O Configuration

I/O Drive Mappings --> Choose Insatnce.

Where do you find the I/O Configuration? I'm not finding that in either the Options > Administration > Advanced Options or an instance's Advanced Options.

Found it. It's under Options > I/O Configuration.

I have a related issue. My Operations group has configured the drive name to drive letter mapping for the one drive used for database files out of the three drives on one of my servers. But when I look at Resources | Disk Device, the Disk drop-down lists the three drive names and provides no indication of the drive letter that has been mapped to one of them.

No matter which drive is selected, I don't see the drive letter displayed anywhere on the page. Where are these drive letters shown?

Feedback I got was if you want to include the drive letter, it has to be part of the name as configured.
