Just setting up a new installation of several Solarwinds tools we had a very old setup on an outdated box which has been replaced. No migration as the historical data is not needed and wanted a fresh setup. The new box is sitting on an ESXi hypervisor version 6.5.0 and running windows 2012. I know this is being depreciated for new versions of solarwinds but that's all I have. I have installed SQL server 2012 (standard) on here as well. Install all started fine installed NPM 12.3 without a hitch, then SAM 6.7 and then DPA 12.0.3074. I then tried to install the NTA version 4.2.3 and its telling me I require SQL 2016 SP1. Rats I think so I go look and download NTA 4.2.2 which is compatible with NTA 12.X but when I try and install this its says Newer Product found with only an OK button and then finish so I cant get it installed.
So can I get a version of the NTA installed with the versions of the NPM, SAM and DPA I have already installed or am I now stuck where I cant use it because of versions of windows and or SQL. Do I need to scap everything I already have installed and then start again with lower versions of everything? I don't really want to put SQL 2016 express on there if I can avoid it.
Thanks
Si
