NCM Password Change Wizzard Runs

Hi

I have just upgraded NCM and now cant log into the the Database. I cant change the password by running ther configuration utiluty becasue when I start it I get the wizzard loading to modify the Web Server, Database etc. How can I rerest the NCM password?

Hi Mike--

I'm assuming you upgraded to NCM 6.0?

Try this and let me know:

Launch the SQL Database Manager by navigating to Start > Programs > SolarWinds Orion Network Configuration Manager.
In the window on the left, open the database component for NCM (default ConfigMgmtNCM).
Right click the table called Options and select 'Query Table'.
In the window that opens, click the Refresh button in the top left corner.
In the top center of this window, select the radio button for 'Read-Write (Results can be edited)'.
In the bottom half of the window, find the value for FirsTimeLogin.
Double click the word False to the right so that you can edit it.
Now change its value to True.
Click the Refresh button in the top left corner to make sure your changes were written to the database.

Now close the Database Manager, open NCM and log in with a username of Administrator and a blank password. It will prompt you to change this password to something more secure.
