Connection refused by router ( via SSH)

Question

I can not connect from my NCM to the routers which are configured with/via ssh. The ones configured with telnet don't have any problem.

The message when I try to add new device(router) in NCM is :

Connection refused by Ipxx.xx.x.x.. Do you still want to add the device?

Please any help it is appreciated.

what do you mean about " I vaguely recall that NCM doesn't like short keys."

i have same problem, all my configuration is using ssh ver 2.

Check for SSH version compatibility--i.e. hard code IOS to "ip ssh version 2" and set NCM to use version 2 only.

Also check to make sure your key is long enough on the IOS side. I vaguely recall that NCM doesn't like short keys. Try regenerating your SSH keys with a 1024 modulus.

yes I am sure. I tried to conect to the router via PUTTY and a SSH connection is working fine, but via NCM is not working, for example when I try to show version or sho run to this IP the answer is Connection refused.
