Ok, so Orion NCM is great if I need to push a config to a device that is already on the wire. What I dont see is an easy way to "export" the config for a replacement.
Example - I am about to "replace" 5 switches, 2 routers and a couple of other devices that Orion NCM is backing up. Since these are going to replace existing equipment (very similar models, not many changes to the config are required) I can not put the "new" device on the wire, and push a config to it - so..
The way I used to do this when we had CatTools was quite easy - since cattools used a file based backup sysetm. I just copied the text file copy of the conifig to my local machine, made the few minor changes, and pasted the config via the console.
Now, I know i could "copy and paste" the config from the web interface, but that includes the "line numbers" that are shown, (which I would LOVE to turn off, anyone?) making it more difficult to edit/update.
so - is there a way to export or save the config to a local text file?
