Exception in ActionAddToNPMEventLog.ExecuteAction inner. Timeout expired.

Getting frequent Event.log Informational enteries with source as alerting engine with below description

"[AlertCheckingThread] WARN  Error - Exception in ActionAddToNPMEventLog.ExecuteAction inner. Timeout expired."

Also I frequently get below error while browsing Solarwinds Portal.

Can someone help to resolve this. I am usinig NPM 9.5.1 with Win 2003 Std x64bit edition and SQL 2008 with 340 nodes approx and 350 interfaces in total.

Currently facing lot of slowness issues and we have to restart the application & SQL services every second day.
