Evaluating NCM

Hello,

I want to evalutate this product. I have worked with other Solarwinds products in the past and like the Orion model, that being said I am looking for a product that will work with all our device configurations.

Currently I work within the Telecom department of a Utility company and want something to work with our Arisa and Harris Constellation radios. Anyone here do that with their build of NCM? or can any of you check to see if the radios are supported in the NCM templates?

I don't know of any existing templates for the Arisa and Harris Constellation radios.

However, if these devices provide a CLI and store text-based configs, it is highly likely that we can support them with minimal effort.

If you can post the exact series of commands that must be entered (from SSH or Telnet) to login to these device and show the running and startup configs, we can get started on the template.

For example, for a Cisco IOS device the series of commands would be:

Telnet to device
Receive prompt: Username:
Enter: username
Receive prompt: Password:
Enter: password
Receive prompt: loggedinprompt>
Enter: enable
Receive prompt: Password:
Enter: enable password
Receive prompt: enableprompt#
To reset screen, enter: terminal width 0
To set paging, enter: terminal length 0
To display running config, enter: show running
To display startup config, enter: show startup
