Device selection criteria

It would be nice to save selection criteria.  For example, I created a selection criteria that was 8 levels deep.  It would be nice to save that as a specific name to easily select at a later point.  Also add the ability to "Not Contain" xxx.  I had to add an extra 4 levels of filtering to have it contain 4 details instead of being able to exclude just one.  For example, I want to inventory our wireless LAN controllers but not collect their configurations.  These devices all contain "wlc" within their naming scheme.  I want to exclude devices that contain "wlc".

Maybe I am miss reading the issue but I think I know what your looking to do.

Under your scheduled job for your nightly backup, Nodes tab if you select the drop down button for "All Nodes in Database" you can select  to specify a selection criteria.

Then change the "Select Nodes where all of the following apply" to "Select nodes where NONE of the following apply"

Then add a simple condition like this: Where NodeName contain "wlc"

That should only select nodes to backup where the name does not contain wlc because you changed the selection to only nodes where that doesnt apply.
