Perform Action Button - possibly execute script or external program from site

I was curious if anyone has implemented a 'perform action' button in APM2.0/NPM 9.1. The purpose of this would be the same as executing an external program or script against host via the alert engine. The point here is that we have a very unstable application that runs on one of our servers and if it runs for longer than 1 hour it's basically in a failure condition and we have a vb script that terminates and restarts the process. But without giving our helpdesk access to the server to terminate it would be great to provide them a button to click on within the application details view to execute that script from the website. I guess we could create an HTA and nest it within Orion.

Why not create an alert that runs the VB script every hour that the node is up? No coding for a button and no worry that a helpdesk technician gets bored and starts hammering said button for entertainment.

The alert right now kills and restarts the process if it has been running for an hour but due to the unstability of the application sometimes it will fail after 10 minutes, 20, 30, etc. So about 90% of the time the automated alert remediates the condition however there are times when a call comes into the helpdesk that the process is not functioning properly and thus the instant action button would be handy for the helpdesk.

Granted this is purely a short term corrective action for a known problem and the code of the application needs to be remediated.
