NPM 10.6 Machine type for 2012r2

Hi all,

Just started deploying 2012R2 servers but they are showing up as 'NT server' is this expected in 10.6? Is it fixed in 10.7?

Both answers are correct. This should be fixed in 10.7 as well via SNMP.

I think that's a limitation of the snmp stack; if you have NPM poll the server using WMI the machine type reads correctly.

Considering that 2012R2 is deprecating SNMP it's probably a good idea to move away from it.
