"Wireless Network Clients" View

This view allows you to trend the number of associated clients over time. Im curious how this view is calculated. If a device is roaming and walks accross 10 seperate AP's is the count 10 or is it 1?

It looks like each individual association is counted as a unique client. Anybody have any ideas?
