Which APM monitor is proven to monitor a file being changed?

Which APM MONITOR would I use to monitor a file changing - either by size or timestamp - and not require any user interventions (update checksum for instance)?

For example:

myfile.txt gets written to and I need to know quickly and then I need it reset quickly for the next change.

Hello,
What you are looking for if "File Change Monitor" or "FileModified (vbscript)". The first one if monitoring file directly and the second one runs a script on dedicated machine that needs visibility to monitored file.

We've been trying to use FILE CHANGE MONITOR.

But it appears this requires user intervention to 'reset it' back to its monitoring state, that is, using the Update Checksum after it gets triggered. Is this correct?

We're needing to trigger it immediately if the size changes but also we need it to reset itself soon afterwards.

How does this not require user intervention?

Currently "File Change Monitor" requires manual intervention for renewing the checksum. Statistical value means number of hours since file was modified the last time.

I'm afraid there is no suitable template at the moment satisfying your needs.

However, there is a possibility to change file change monitor using VB script to do what you need. Like 9in the script) create a copy of file on some temporary location and compare actual file with it. When difference is found and lasting for specified time then shadow copy would be replaced and this would actually reset the state into working one.
