Orion Module migration from 2012 OS to 2016 OS

Hi All,

I have done many migration but below customer infra is bit different for me, So i want a suggestion / opinion from you regrading to below infra

- Current env. (Orion 2017 version ) ,

NPM, SAM, NTA, VMAN, NCM, VNMQ, IPAM SRM , all are install on single Orion server (Main Poller) and it is also integrated to DPA.

where DPA is install on separate VM including the SQL DB. Mean to say same VM have DPA and SQL both install.

Just want to know what addition steps i need to perform for IPAM and DPA. For rest of module i am sure about it

Note = I will use the same host name and ip address for Migration.

Question for IPAM-

> Do we need to take addition backup of IPAM configuration, As we added subnet etc, Or All IPAM configuration are stored in DB and after migration to new machine all IPAM configuration details will auto get from DB as NPM, SAM and other module auto picked.

Question for DPA -

> AS DPA is install on separate server including to SQL 2014 and integrated to Main Poller.

what steps i need perform for DPA?

- You do not need to make an additional backup for IPAM as it will all be in the database.

Question for DPA -

I read somewhere about the IPAM that we need to take a IPAM configuration export. Will it require ?

Maybe in a very old version that may have been a thing, but for at least the last 5 years I am confident that IPAM does not need to export anything as all the settings are in the DB.
