I am trying to setup action (write to event log but I've also tested it with writing to the text file) in the Trap Viewer. I can see traps (a lot) in the Search Trap Database ok. When I setup the filter (on IP, Community String or Trap Type; using specific or * settings) I can see the traps I want to write to event log ok. But when I setup the rule with the same filtering - nothing goes to event log or text file. if I setup catch all rule, I can see traps ok in event log and file, but not the ones I am looking for (and I see them in the Search Trap Database ok, so I am 100% sure that they are in the database... Help please!!!
Should I load the MIBs? I am not able to monitor the device using SW - I just want to write the dreaded traps into the event log... !
