PCI Compliance - Cirrus database store

I've got an upcoming item about PCI compliance - I need to ensure the downloaded configurations on NCM are actually encrypted to disk.

Is there any functionality within NCM to do this?

I'm on an old version of SQL, but I also read that SQL2K8 supports some transparent encryption somehow - but is there anything built within Cirrus to encrypt downloaded configurations in the database?

Usernames and Passwords can certainly be encrypted (File > Settings > Security), but there isn't any built-in mechanism to encrypt the configs today. Here's an MSDN on Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) on SQL Server 2008: msdn.microsoft.com/.../cc278098.aspx

Chris, I'm sure that feature is used for administrative users of Cirrus/NCM itself - not for usernames and passwords that appear in configs, right?

I'm thinking of the way RANCID obfuscates/deletes passwords from downloaded configs.
