Suggestion for a Future Release - Advanced Alert Manager

As our business grows and we implement more and more alerts, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to find alerts I need to modify. My future release suggestion is a search function inside Advanced Alert Manager.

Search function should be able to search for standard things such as:

*finance

freespace??

Custom*

Ok. I agree with the search function but also we need a grouping feature for the alerts. It's a mess with hundreds of alerts. I want to see the related alarms together in a group.

Absolutely agree! This would be a good simple first step toward better alert management.

I'd like to see some type of linking of the alert to the object. So when I click on a switch or a switchport or whatever, I can see the alert(s) that are tied to that object. Clicking on the alert would allow me to edit it right from the obect.

Right now alerts are not direct linked to the objects they are alerting on and as such are very cumbersome to use.

Great idea! Custom grouping would make dealing with alerts and traps much better. Possibly adding user administration to those groups as well, would be helpful.
