Recently I deployed a Microsoft Server 2012 R2 Machine, with a relatively simple network setup. Single modem, router, switch, handful of access points. Nothing with an overly complex setup, so there aren't many places where 'wires' can get crossed. I had a VPN setup using PPTP to authenticate -- I decided to install the evaluation copy of Mini Control on the Server box itself. The install went fine, but then I noticed the VPN stopped working. Clients would connect and then get kicked off, I wasn't sure what settings/reg keys that the program modified.. If anything relate to the Firewall etc or it's just a fluke.
And actually all connections even for shared drives/pings are being refused... I can still connect via Team Viewer Host.
Also, are there any network hardware dependencies or protocols that would make it run efficiently? Trying to get it all streamlined so I can present it to the owner of the company to purchase licenses for the software.
Thank you.
