Failed to connect to the EminentWare Application Server

I'm attempting to deploy a second eminentware server into a DMZ environment. I receive the error below straight after installation.

I can communicate with the primary server on port 4092 (confirmed via telnet).

any suggestions.

Sorry, we are unable to connect to the EminentWare Server. Verify that the connection information for the EminentWare Server is correct and the EminentWare Data Grid Service is started. Details: The attempt to connect the EminentWare Application Server failed. Attempting to deserialize an empty stream. --------------------------- OK ---------------------------

One thing that comes to mind here is that the version you are installing on the DMZ env. is NOT based on EW-CDS-004.

If it isn't, please download the latest EW-CDS-004 version of the full installer.

Ah that could be the reason.

How do I check if the upstream server is running EW-CDS-004. I'm assuming that all servers have to run the same version and patch level?

I would recommend have the same version and patch level.

This particular issue is from a very old version.

Let me know if the newer full install doesnt do the trick and we can have a look.

Also, you can check the version information on the EminentWare System Configuration\EminentWare Servers and then select the server and go to file details.

The version for EW-CDS-004 is 1.40.126.0
