H3C Template not showing in Device template list

Hi, i have saved the required config to SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\DeviceTypes as a .ConfigMgmt-Commands, However when i go to the Node Properties the Template is not showing in the list.

This is probably something simple but i am going in circles on it,

Any ideas?

Hi akhtarm,

did you use the NCM Template Assistant? You can look at this video illustrating basic usage of the assistant. Make sure you enter the correct System OID and that the filename has the form <Description>-<System OID>.ConfigMgmt-Commands e.g. "Cisco 2621 XM test-1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.469.ConfigMgmt-Commands".

It is typically the name you used that is the problem.

First make sure that after you added the template to the device template folder, you restart NCM.

Once that is done, and you are sure the syntax within the template is correct, post the name of the template you are trying to use and we can verify if that is a correct name.
