Patch Manager Automation Role in DMZ

I am using the following article to setup a patch manager automation server role in our dmz and wondering if I should use asr rules.

I wonder if I should un-check this box below since the server will only server servers in the DMZ:

Yes. If you will be defining Automation Server Routing Rules such that the Automation Server is serving defined systems exclusively and those systems will only use that Automation Server, then you want to remove it from the pool.
