I'm hoping somebody here could lend me a simple SQL statement to be used on the alert procedure in alerting someone when an equipment goes beyond its threshold. I'm sorry if I sound stubborn but I'm not really good in scripting/programming.

It does not sound like this would require custom SQL. What are you trying to alert on?

Here's what I want to achieve, for example, a router has an 80% threshold defined when he goes beyond that I want to be alerted immediately, saying that the router goes beyond its threshold limit.
That is easily accomplished in Advanced Alert Manager. Here is an example for a node CPU alert.
