The Scope resolution task failed to execute

Greetings,

We recently purchased Patch Manager.

Have successfully patched via machine names and now want to patch via AD group memberships.

When I try to do this I get 'The Scope resolution task failed to execute' as an error.

Here are the choices I've made: (I also tried the 'all computers in the selected Domain or Workgroup as well)

I did add a preferred Domain Controller as well.

any insights where I'm going wrong?

OK, solved the scope error part.

didn't have a 'scope' entered into Patch Manager system Configuration --> Management Groups that matched what I was trying to manage.

(For eval I only had the patch Manager server, entered our domain and server ou, see below:

Now I get a different error... more later.
