So I see SolarWinds is toying with something I would love to have. The new free App tool promises to point out problem areas by discerning between client, server and network latency (paraphrased). I for one think that is awesome ESPECIALLY if this can be done without packet captures, if not then I would still rather have it is just a lot more portable without.
I know of a few other suites that do this very thing but they are VERY expensive, so much so that it almost does not matter what they actually do because with what they cost you could afford to buy new stuff to fix your problems.
I would just like to urge SolarWinds to continue down that path. Doing so would be awesome for customers and network troubleshooting not to mention put Orion in markets that only these other tools dwell in.
Not to mention we would get to say "see i told you so" even more often and with more confidence!
