This report requires you first create a Custom Property called "IsWAN" and apply the property on all WAN interfaces you want included in the report. The report will show all designated WAN interfaces and the associated 95th percentile as % bandwidth rather than bps. The report period static so you will have to adjust it for the period of interest.
Is there a way to do this but only pull M - F 8 to 5?
Andy and all,
Can someone assist me in figuring this out? Using NPM 10.4, I don't seem to be getting accurate information from one source or another. I applied this report to just 3 interfaces for testing (an MLPPP setup with 2 serial T1s and 1 Multilink). The Interface speeds come back as 1.536Mbps and 3.072Mbps. So far, so good... Here's where it gets crazy...
T1 #1 = PercentIN of 84.32% - PercentOut of 26.12% and Maxbps95 of 84.32%
T1 #2 = PercentIN of 84.35% - PercentOut of 26.09% and Maxbps95 of 84.35%
Mu1 = PercentIN of 169.57% - PercentOut of 26.17% and Maxbps95 of 169.57%
As you can see, the Mu1 interface is not currect. I can also tell you, based on the graphs, none of these numbers are correct. For just T1 #1, PercentIN should be about 16%, and PercentOUT should be about 10%. Also, I'm only pulling for 1 month right now, when I try to pull 1 quarter the query pulls all null values.
I ran the report, but it does not seem to be working as I thought it would. For example...
I ran the SQL report and checked the Percent In and Percent Out columns
I then compared the numbers listed in the columns with those found under the Interface Details page for the same device.
By the way, I checked the same info for several other interfaces and had the same problem. Lastly, I even called SW tech support, but they told me that I should contact a DBA for assistance instead. Any ideas???
Please disregard the last message. We compared the numbers shown in the report with those from another tool that we have and the results were pretty much identical. I am still a bit puzzled that the 95th percentile utilization numbers on the Additional Details page are different than those on the report. Yet, the most important thing for us is that the report produce be reliable, which it is. So, many thanks for sharing this report with us and have a great day.
Andy,
First of all, many thanks for the guidance on getting the dates fixed for the 95th percentile. Now, the network teams presented me with yet another challenge. Instead of the top 20 interfaces, they want only to see the nodes with 95th percentile interface utilization that is over 60%. I tried to modify the SQL script but I am having no luck yet. Any ideas????
