Does NTA understand egress as well?

I'm coming from using NetQoS to Orion's NTA tool. Traditionally since NetFlow was ingress only you had to enable ip route-cache flow on the wan and lan interfaces to get the traffic going back and forth an interface. I just wanted to be sure that NTA understands the concept and is able to report on a conversation in both directions. Reason I ask is we don't feel we are getting everything...meaning reported.

Or do people use the newer 12.3 code egress option in the interfaces? Any luck with that?

NetFlow understands both sides of the conversation. However, there are some outstanding bugs that could be affecting whether or not you're getting all your data. See here; this could be affecting things. Also, make sure you're monitoring all the relevant interfaces on your router.

I add the SQL statement....do I need to restart the NetFlow services? Mostly we monitor WAN routers so they have 1 WAN interface and 2 LAN interfaces. In the router config I have Ip route-cache flow turned on all 3 interfaces so it should see the 2-way communication. I guess my question is in NTA do I have to check the LAN interfaces as well to see all the data going to/from on the WAN interface?

Restarting the service should make your changes take effect faster. See if things appear as you expect after restarting the service.

I'm still reviewing the data....in the meantime can you answer :

Or can I just check the interfaces I want to report on?
