SW Alert not presenting any information

Hi Guys

I have created an alert to tell me when the Average Lock Wait Time on a SQL server is triggered if the Lock Wait Time is 120 seconds or longer.

I run the alert simulation and no information.

above is right, but also those variables aren't correct for a component alert, they are for nodes as the triggering object.  if you hit the insert variable button and look for the info you want to include you should be able to see how the syntax differs

Simulate looks exactly correct because said alert didn't go off, actually. At least this is doing what you appear to have written it to do. Sometimes simulate isn't always the best target. However, I'd definitely suggest looking through alert variable stuff (change to global and all instead of commonly used) so that you can find how to include the actual wait time value instead.

Also instead of selecting nodes like that I'd suggest a custom property to make them fit this trigger and then you only need one selection for nodes matching the custom property (and it's more flexible in the future).

However, is this actually what you want to do? What is the actual intent here? You want to know when DB's are slow or?
