I really could use an update on when the version of MS SQL Auditor will be released and if it will support MS SQL 2017
Unfortunately, I can't provide a timeline as to when support for MS SQL 2017 will be available. However, can you confirm if you specifically need to monitor SQL Traces or could you get the information you need via SQL Audit Events?
Did you get an answer to this question that was acceptable? i.e. Do they have 2017 support now?
We also track the TSQL statements and are in process of upgrading so MSSQL Auditor support for MSSQL 2017 is vital.
At least let us know if this is something that is in the process of being worked on ?
Unfortunately SQL Server 2017 is not yet supported by the SQL Auditor but is certainly on our radar. Would you have any objections to SQL Auditor moving to Extended Events or is Profiler still your preferred method to monitor SQL?
Can you clarify what you mean by Extended Events instead of SQL Profiler ?
If that means we get some sort of native MSSQL log collection by the LEM agent, and remove the dependency of MSSQL Auditor (which does not work on SQL Server 2017) then I am all for it.
