NPM discovery and Patch manager integration

I am looking at deploying patch manager into my existing environment. I have a weekly discovery in place through NPM witch already ties to my NCM, IPAM, Storage, and Virtual devices. I would like to know if the patch manager will piggyback onto this existing scan. I just want to keep unnecessary traffic off of my network.

There is not currently any data sharing between NPM and Patch Manager. The discovery and inventory tasks executed from Patch Manager operate as independent tasks, and store data in a separate data store.
