transaction monitor uses orion server to resolve ip address of website even if we are targetting a custom location on another machine

Background: when browsing the monitored site with its internal ip address, it requires authentication as first step but when browsing it with its external ip address, it does not require authentication.

we have a PC used as a location in Orion Solarwinds and we have an Orion server

Troubleshooting steps:

I have created a new transaction monitor taregeting the PC and changed the hosts file of PC to target the external Ip address of monitored site while kept the orion server without changing its hosts file and orion server points to internal ip address of monitored site. i verified on the pc and was able to browse the monitored site with its external ip address. Solarwinds transaction monitor has given access denied which proves that it used the internal ip address which means that the tranasction monitor of solarwinds is used the orion server to resolve the ip address of the monitored site although we are targetting a location (the PC).

it became functional for external after 30 minutes or more! (I think it was a cache problem). We test and search the logs to make sure: I checked the real ip address of the pc station by browsing from the same PC whatismyip.com and I looked for it in the log of the external site : it's done and the real final IP address of the pc (after natting) is present with pages of the external site
