Apply a SIngle Application/Component DOWN Alert to an Application Monitor Template

Question

Hi Guys

I have created my own Application Monitor Template (Copied the Citrix Xen 7.0 Services)  and wanting to monitor around 15 components on the template.

How do I create a single Alert to tell me when any of the 15 Component Services goes DOWN? I can't seem to see the new template name in the drop-down list when assigning the 'equal to' value.

So the 3rd condition would be

and once done the Select Objects on the right side you'll see the objects it's been associated to, 1 in your case (below is 4).

What thaw said, the one thing I would change from above would be to use the application ID instead of the name. That way if the name ever changes the alert will still work.

Hello,

I would configure a new alert like this (detailing only the relevant parts):

Trigger Condition > I want to alert on: > Component

Trigger Alert when:

Node Status > is not equal to > Down

Component > Component Availability > is equal to > Down

Application > Application Name > is equal to > Copy of Citrix Xen 7.0 Services

If you are not able to see your Application Template in the drop-down list it might be because you haven't assigned a node yet.
