I am monitoring several devices for a customer and have given him an account and dashboard to view details regarding these devices. I have also given him the ability to see his interfaces on our switches so that he can see his internet and point-to-point usage at any time. However, to do that I had to give him access to those switches in account limitations.
For example: I have a custom property called MonAccess. On our switches and on his devices, I have this set to 1. I have a custom account limitation that allows him to view anything where MonAccess = 1. Then I have another account limitation that allows him to view a group of interfaces, including the ones on our switches. Unfortunately doing it this way forced me to have to add the interfaces on his own devices to this group as well.
He can also see events and alerts related to his own devices. Unfortunately, he can also see events related to our switches, which I can't seem to control. For instance if one of our other customers' interface goes down, it shows in this customer's event list.
Is there any way to keep these events from showing up? Or perhaps there's a better way to set up account limitations? I am not happy with the way I'm doing it but can't seem to get it to work any other way.
TIA
