NCM Custom Inventory poller

Hi Folks,

I would love to see the inventory tool expanded to include something like a UnDP. Where we would have the normal preset Inventory options but also have the ability to create custom pollers using maually entered MIB's and OID's to gather other stats or device specific stats.

I can elaborate if needed. Any questions or additions to this request feel free to chime in.

Ciag, this is a great idea and is actually something I've thought of as well but haven't had much requests. For internal folks, we're tracking this as #4339

If there are others out there interested in this enhancement, please chime in!

Please add me to the list. We are using no Cisco or Windows devices on our network, so most of the default inventories are useless!

I would raise a hand to this to say "yeah" this is a good idea. Flexibility, scalability, that is what makes your product so versatile and valued. I know as we expand our monitoring and mature into the product suite, I continually add more devices that are not Cisco or Windows. As raym stated, not everything is Windows or Cisco. Time to mature the ORION suite too - including NCM.
